Express

  • A high priority service with short cut-off, transhipment and availability times .

  • The maximum piece weight for this product is 32kg and the maximum consignment size is 1000kg.

  • Strict standards for acceptance and availability of documents and freight apply. There are published customer service standards for recovery.

  • This product is not available for perishables, dangerous goods, livestock, and human remains or freight that requires presentation to Customs.

  • This product applies to flights operated by BA mainline and subsidiary companies only.

Standards :

  • Freight and Document delivery cut off time at Export stations is 90 minutes prior to scheduled of departure (STD)

  • Document availability on arrival at Import stations is 90 minutes after scheduled time of arrival (STA)

  • Freight availability on arrival at Import stations is 90 minutes after scheduled time of arrival (STA)

  •  Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers is 3 hours (180 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of departure (STD),  except at LHR, where the minimum connection time is 4 hours (240 minutes). Minimum Connection Times for LON airport flight transfers (between LHR and LGW) is subject to schedule.

Recovery Promise :

  •  In the event of offload the recovery promise for Express is that the customer is contacted as soon  as possible but no later than 2 hours after ATD with freight arriving within 24 hours of STA.

Perform (loose)

  •  A consistently reliable service that keeps you informed every step of the way.

  • No weight limit and the size of individual pieces is only restricted by aircraft operating limitations covering hold sizes. Standards for acceptance and availability of documents and freight apply. There are published customer service standards for recovery.

  • Does not apply to human remains. Dangerous Goods subject to Dangerous Goods check to be carried out prior to the cut off time.

  • This product applies to flights operated by BA mainline and subsidiary companies only.

Standards :

  • Freight and Document delivery cut off time at Export stations is a maximum of 6 hours (360minutes) prior to scheduled time of departure (STD). Many stations will have a shorter cut off time.

  • Document availability on arrival at Import stations is 2 hours (120 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Freight availability on arrival at Import stations is a maximum of 6 hours (360 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA). Many stations will have a shorter availability time.

  • Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers is 12 hours (720 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of departure (STD).

  • Minimum connection times for LON airport flight transfers (between LHR, STN and LGW airports) is 16 hours (960 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of  departure (STD).

Recovery Promise :

  • The Recovery promise for Perform (loose) will be that the customer is contacted as soon as possible but no later than 4 hours after ATD with freight arriving within 48 hours of STA.

Perform (Unitised)

  • Document availability on arrival at Import stations is 2 hours (120 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Freight availability on arrival at Import stations is a maximum of 4 hours (240 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA). Many stations will have shorter availability times.

  • Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers is 5 hours (300 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of departure (STD)

  • Minimum connection times for LON airport flight transfers (between LHR, STN and LGW airports) is 12 hours (720 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of  departure (STD).

Recovery Promise :

  • The Recovery promise for Perform (intact) will be customer contact as soon as possible but no later than 4 hours after ATD with freight arriving within 48 hours of STA.

Courier

  • A high priority service with short cut-off, transhipment and availability times and easy administration.

  • Courier material can be carried inside any plastic, canvas or hessian sack, which is sufficiently large  and strong and must be securely, tied at the neck. Each bag can weigh a maximum of 32kg.

  •  The maximum consignment weight is 1000kg; this weight may be exceeded at the discretion of the accepting station, within the limits of the available space on the aircraft. Maximum piece sizes where applicable will be set by the -accepting station.

  • No booking is necessary for Courier, and a maximum of 300kg can be delivered without pre-notification. For consignments above this weight the customer should contact the accepting station  for confirmation prior to delivery. Strict standards for acceptance and availability of documents and freight apply. There are published customer service standards for recovery.

  •  This product is not available for perishables, dangerous goods, livestock, human remains and valuable cargo.

  • This product applies to flights operated by BA mainline and subsidiary companies only.

Retail: Courier baggage when accompanied by a courier flying on the aircraft, the courier company having purchased a ticket for the accompaniment of its own goods only.

Wholesale: Courier baggage that is delivered by any courier company to British Airways for Courier to carry on their behalf to destination. This service is sold airport-to-airport only, and does not involve presentations to customs at either end of the route by the airline.

Standards :

  • Courier and Document delivery cut off time at export stations is 60 minutes prior to scheduled time of departure (STD).

  • Document availability on arrival at import stations is 60 minutes after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Courier availability on arrival at import stations is 60 minutes after scheduled time of arrival.

  • Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers is 3 hours (180 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of departure (STD).

Secure

An exceptionally high security service for your valuable consignments.

The Secure product will be used for any consignment that is deemed by British Airways to require security handling, or for which the customer has requested security handling. This will include, but is not limited to, valuable cargo as defined by IATA criteria, munitions of war (MUW), sporting weapons (SWP), and the following commodities:

  • Silver Bullion, coins and plate.

  • Watches known to have a value above GBP1000/kg.

  • Arms (inc. guns of any description) and ammunition and all explosives.

  • Dangerous drugs such as narcotics e.g. opium and derivatives.

  • Works of art known to have a value in excess of GBP5000.

  • British Airways Tickets.

Standards for acceptance and availability of documents and freight apply. There are published customer service standards for recovery .

The Secure product is available only to/from selected stations on the BA network.

  • Freight and Document delivery cut off time at Export stations is 180 minutes prior to scheduled time of departure (STD).

  • Document availability on arrival at Import stations is 120 minutes after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Freight availability on arrival at Import stations is 120 minutes after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers is 4 hours (240 minutes) between scheduled time of arrival (STA) and scheduled time of departure (STD).

  • Minimum Connection Times for LON airport flight transfers (between LHR and LGW) is subject to schedule.

Recovery Promise:

  • In the event of offload the recovery promise for Secure is that the customer is contacted as soon as possible but no later than 2 hours after ATD with freight arriving within 24 hours of STA.

Witness Loads (WIT)

  • A Witness Load is a shipment that is supervised when loaded onto the aircraft, by a nominated witness and airline security. This is used for commodities such as high value paintings or exhibition material. Usually the customer will have a witness plus a courier that will travel on the same aircraft as the freight. This service is available by special arrangement only.

  • A sensitive priority service for accompanied and unaccompanied human remains.

  • This product applies to flights operated by BA mainline and subsidiary companies only.

  •  Document availability on arrival at Import stations is 1 hour (60 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  •  Freight availability on arrival at Import stations is 2 hours (120 minutes) after scheduled time of arrival (STA).

  • Minimum connection times for same station flight to flight transfers varies by route and journey time, and is dependent on whether the live animal regulations require extra time for water to be provided for the animal.

  • Minimum connection times for LON airport flight transfers (between LHR, STN and LGW airports) is subject to schedule.

Recovery Promise :

  • The Recovery promise for Unaccompanied Pets will be customer contact as soon as possible but no later than 2 hours after ATD, with freight arriving within 24 hours of STA.

  • Other categories of urgent or time sensitive commodities, such as aircraft or ship's spares or newspapers - AOG/USS/NW.
